Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need experience to operate a CPI Office?
Absolutely
not! We provide a comprehensive training program which gives each new
owner the knowledge and skills necessary to run this business including
but not limited to marketing and lead generation, sales operations, service
delivery, appointment coordinating, administrative accounting and job
search technology training. However, we do look for candidates with a
strong sales background.
Can
I operate a CPI franchise and still keep my regular full-time job?
A
CPI Office is best operated with the owner on site. While we do not require
our franchisees to work full-time in their Office, the responsibility
generally requires a full-time commitment.
Why
should I open a CPI Office instead of trying it on my own?
The
CPI management team has developed a successful business model. We have
honed our operations to give our franchisees the best possible opportunity
for success. Why risk it on your own when you can leverage our expertise
and experience? According to Franchise World Magazine, a franchise business
has a 92% success rate after 5 years compared to a 23% success rate of
an independent business after the same period of time.
Will
CPI help me with marketing?
Yes.
We will provide assistance in establishing your initial lead generation
program as well as production and strategic assistance with your on-going
local marketing efforts.
What makes a successful CPI Franchisee?
There are three elements to any successful franchise relationship: a great
Concept, a strategic location and a great operator. We have the first
element, and we’ll help you find the second. The real key is always
the operator. At CPI, YOU make all the difference. A Franchisee that is
willing to follow a proven system, and is committed to excellence, consistency,
and constant, positive communication with clients will always have greater
success.
Do
you provide financing?
CPI does not provide direct financing. However, we will assist you in
obtaining financing through our third-party contacts or a financial institution
of your choice.
How soon can I be in business once I have
executed a franchise agreement and located a mutually accepted site?
You can be open for business generally within 30 to 60 days.
What is the term of the CPI franchise?
CPI franchise agreements are initially set for 10 years. The franchise
is then renewable for ten-year terms.
What is the franchise fee?
The initial CPI franchise fee is $35,000, which includes a one-week, pre-opening
training program for the operator, a salesman and a career advisor.
How much operating capital is required?
Including the initial franchise fee, cost of leasing office space, limited
furnishings and equipment, and computer hardware and software, the working
capital and start-up costs are estimated between $68,200 and $100,850.
This estimate also includes ordinary business expenses such as staff payroll,
insurance, lead advertising and professional services. Proceeds from revenues
are not factored into the estimate, and costs may vary depending on location
and other variables.
How much money can I make?
While this is a fair question, we are unable to make projections of your
potential earnings due to government regulations. Your sales, staff management
skills, commitment to gaining industry knowledge and participation in
CPI training will influence your earning performance. And although there
may be other external factors that will impact your earnings, we are committed
to providing you with a complete support system, one that will give you
every tool to succeed and prosper.
Do I have an exclusive territory?
Yes. Your exclusive territory will be based upon geography and business
demographics, and within this territory you will have the protected right
to all business.
